Repair as investigation

Official Rivage material refers to repairing systems aboard A.R.E.S. In a narrative puzzle game, a repair can restore a function and reveal evidence at the same time.

Before changing a system

  • Record the error state and any displayed identifier.
  • Trace visible power or mechanical connections.
  • Note which doors, terminals, or devices appear dependent on it.
  • Preserve the before-and-after state in notes.

A restored system may change access, timing, or the interpretation of an earlier log. Revisit related evidence after a repair instead of treating the task as complete when an indicator turns green.

Fact boundary

The public descriptions do not publish a complete repair tree or required component list. Those details must come from reproducible play, not generic assumptions about space-station games.
